Richard Muller has been working in film and theatre for almost 30 years. His career started in the West End, and then moved quickly onto film work, the first one being Eric the Viking. He now works in both mediums. He is fluent in German. and has a strong interest in milinary and mask making, and is a wig maker. 

He is employed as a designer, key hair and a crowd supervisor, on mostly period work. Highlights are Poldark,  The Hobbit,  Alice Through the Looking Glass, and Young Victoria.  As key hair on Upstairs Downstairs, he has ended up in an ongoing job as Eileen Aitkens personal make up artist – whenever she can have him.  As crowd supervisor on seasons 3 and 4 of Poldark, he made and dressed wigs and added prosthetics to his skill base.   He also worked as supervisor at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, and for the RSC in the West End.  Richard has been the hair and make-up supervisor for both the Garsington Opera Festival and the Bregenz Opera Festival in Austria. Recently he designed his first feature ‘ Stolen’ with Alice Eve and Jack Davenport in New Zealand, and was then key hair/designer on Clash of Futures, a european TV series.
