Richard Muller has been working in film and theatre for almost 20 years. His career started in the West End, and then moved quickly onto film work, the first one being Eric the Viking. He now works in both mediums. He is fluent in German. and has a strong interest in milinary and mask making.
Mostly employed as a period wig dresser / wig maker in London and make-up artist on films such as Phantom of the Opera, Young Victoria and Clash of the Titans, he has also worked as a hair and make up designer for television and theatre, including wig creation and wig designing.
He has supervised shows for the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, and for the RSC in the West End, as well as musicals, and plays. He has worked as the hair and make-up supervisor for the Garsington Opera Festival, as well as eight years as a hair make-up supervisor for the Bregenz Opera Festival in Austria, prior to which he had worked in the Flemish Opera in Antwerp, Belgium.
