[Film Gallery] Over the years I have worked mostly doing make-up and period hair dressing, but at the begining of 2009 I designed the hair and make-up, and made the wigs for a modern dress TV series. [Theatre Gallery] Bigger and brighter than most film work, and it has to be able to cope with two dance routines and couple of songs,.. whilst at the same time be re-dressable. Because I used to, and sometimes still do, work on shows - instead of just setting them up, I know the hell it is to be handed a wig that does not fit, or worse made with cheap quality hair,.. or else something that is impractical to use in a show 8 times a week, and then try and re-dress it., so when I make things I always try to bear in mind what is not only good to look at,.. but also good to work with. [Miscellaneous Gallery] This is the fun bit,.. it’s either things I have made “just to see if I could”,.. or things for street theatre,..ie no money but make it fabulous !!,..or it’s mask and hat work,.. which I really enjoy doing, but honestly don’t get asked to do it that often, but when the whole look has to fit togther, practically and artistically I think it probably is a good idea |
